Welcome to Sipfari. By using the app you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Sipfari. These Terms work alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use Sipfari
Sipfari is about alcoholic beverages and is intended only for people who are of legal drinking age in their country or region. By using it you confirm that you are. It is not directed at anyone under that age.
2. What Sipfari is (and isn't)
Sipfari is an informational and entertainment app for tracking drinks you've tried, exploring drinks around the world, and recording your own tasting notes. Drink information (styles, ABV, flavors, regions) is gathered from public sources and may be incomplete or inaccurate. It is not professional, medical, or dietary advice. Always verify details that matter to you.
3. Responsible use
Please drink responsibly and lawfully. Never drink and drive. Sipfari does not encourage excessive or unsafe consumption, and nothing in the app should be read as doing so.
4. Your account
Accounts are optional and use passwordless email sign-in. You're responsible for keeping access to your email secure, since anyone with your sign-in link could access your account. You may delete your data at any time from the Privacy page.
5. Your content
Your ratings, notes, and check-ins are yours. By saving them with an account, you allow us to store and display them back to you across your devices. Keep your notes lawful and respectful; don't submit content that is illegal or infringes others' rights.
6. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service — for example, don't attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer for abuse, or gain unauthorized access to it or other users' data, and don't use it for any unlawful purpose.
7. Intellectual property
The Sipfari name, design, and original content are ours. Map rendering uses MapLibre GL (BSD-3-Clause) and country shapes from Natural Earth (public domain). Drink names and trademarks belong to their respective owners; they're referenced for identification only.
8. Disclaimers
Sipfari is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the drink information is accurate or complete.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sipfari and its maker are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app.
10. Changes
We may update the app and these Terms over time. If we make material changes we'll update the date above and surface a notice in the app. Continuing to use Sipfari after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and any disputes will be subject to the competent Dutch courts. Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under Dutch or EU law.
