Sipfari is a local-first web app. By default your data never leaves your device. This page explains exactly what is stored and your choices. Plain language, no dark patterns.
What we store, and where
- On your device (browser localStorage): your drink check-ins, flavor ratings, optional tasting notes, an optional display name for your passport card, and your age confirmation. This stays in your browser and is not transmitted to us.
- No account is required to use Sipfari.
- No cookies are used, and we run no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking.
Location
The “Nearby” feature asks your browser for your location only when you tap the button. Your coordinates are used in your browser to find which region's drinks are closest, and are never stored or sent to us. You can decline the browser prompt and the rest of the app still works.
Maps
The world map is rendered entirely from data bundled with the app (MapLibre GL + Natural Earth country shapes). It makes no third-party requests, so no external map service sees your activity.
Optional account & cloud sync
Creating an account is optional and passwordless: you enter your email and we send a one-time sign-in link. If you do, your email address and your saved data (check-ins, ratings, optional display name) are stored in our database hosted by Supabase so they sync across your devices, protected so that only you can access your own data. If you never sign in, nothing leaves your device. When you create an account we also record that you agreed to this Privacy Policy (the timestamp and policy version). You can delete everything anytime with the button below, or contact us to remove your account data.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA and similar)
- Access & portability: your data lives in your browser; the passport-card export gives you a shareable copy.
- Rectification: edit or re-rate any drink at any time.
- Erasure: use the button below to wipe all Sipfari data from this browser instantly. If you used cloud sync, signing out and clearing data removes the local copy; contact us to delete your synced record.
Delete my data
Removes all Sipfari check-ins, ratings, your name, and age confirmation from this browser. This cannot be undone.
Age requirement & responsible use
Sipfari contains content about alcoholic beverages and is intended only for people of legal drinking age in their country. It is not directed at children. Please enjoy responsibly.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above and surface a notice in the app.
